JAMESTOWNE and COLONIAL VIRGINIA GENEALOGY and DNA PROJECT.
Who could have imagined, 400 years ago, that an adventurous and hardy group of “Colonial Settlers” would establish a small colony which they called “Jamestowne” from which sprang the greatest people and nation on the earth?
That Nation, the United States of America, was to become the mightiest of nations, having the greatest economy, become the most industrially developed, become the world leader in diplomacy, all the while having the most ethnically diverse population of any nation in the world.
A nation which would welcome the tired, the hungry and poor from all other nations and would give emigrants the opportunity to become any thing they desired to become. All that was required of them would be desire, dedication and determination. With these attributes almost any emigrant could succeed and that’s what they did….Succeed!
All Americans, no matter which national origin they hail from, take pride in their heritage. Family stories and lore abound in family histories; assuming individuals are aware of their lineage.
All people want to know where they came from and who their progenitors are. This is evidenced by the shear number of inquires daily…regarding genealogy. There are over 9 million genealogy inquiries on the Internet each day. People worldwide are seeking to know their ancestors, their history and the origin of their forefathers.
In partnership with the up coming “Americas 400th Anniversary” in 2007, GenealogyFound has sought out two organizations which stand alone in their abilities to accomplish the Jamestowne and Colonial Virginia Genealogy & DNA Project. These organizations are “Heirlines Family History and Genealogy” and “Relative Genetics”. Both of these organizations are internationally known for exceptional contributions in their respective fields.
Health Initiative
GenealogyFound is working with Traditional and DNA genealogists to develop a secure “Verifiable Registry” of family lines (lineages). It is our intent to develop genetic, historical, and educational “secure” databases, which can only be accessed by authorization of the owner of the health history database information. Access shall be independently granted by authorizations between consenting and genetically linked individuals. This interaction of individuals sharing “family health profiles” will spread within the United States and eventually spread worldwide, via the Internet. DNA markers and family health information can be, as mentioned, accessed and shared by authorization of the owner of the information. See our privacy policy.
GenealogyFound will provide each individual program participant with a “Family Health History Profile” Toolkit. This profile will show them how to document their unique family health information. This can then be placed on GenealogyFound’s secure database and held by individuals to share, as they see fit, when they are found to be and informed that there is a genetically linked/related person who wants to contact them.
From the outcomes of our databases, individuals can, privately, consult with others, of their family lines, to share, discuss and investigate family health history. Numerous chronic illnesses and diseases are known to run in families and are, very often, genetically hereditary.
“Knowing your family history can save your life. The earlier you know which health conditions run in your family, the easier it is to develop prevention plans with your doctor. Start the conversation with your family on National Family History Day celebrated every Thanksgiving.”

GenealogyFound, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, www.genealogyfound.org is poised to take advantage of the huge interest of individual’s quest to find their ancestors, extended family, roots and places of origin! There are approximately nine million (9,000,000) inquiries, concerning genealogy and family history, via the Internet each day. There are millions of others who are seeking to know their family health histories for medical reasons. Most of these searches, for health history, go unfulfilled as DNA genetic genealogy is in its infancy.
By providing accessible databases, GenealogyFound will provide a platform for individuals to privately locate and privately contact previously unknown related individuals and families with which to share family health histories.
This project will continue to grow, nationally and internationally, as more and more people desire to become part of our “Family Health History Profile link ” secure databases.
Today, people are seeking to stem rising healthcare costs! Healthcare costs are one of the fastest rising costs in our nation. Being able to share family health histories and privately using the information to have a healthier life the cost savings will be astronomical. The savings will be beneficial to; Individuals, Families, Towns, Cities, Counties, States and Governments. Science has proven that families genetically share predispositions to disease and chronic illnesses.
GenealogyFound understands, that as this program continues to grow, there will be countless others who, by finding genetic relations, will be able to share family health history and have the opportunity to take early steps in looking for, testing for, discovering and treating illnesses in early stages and in many cases prior to showing any related symptoms. The humanitarian aspect of the program will be enormous.
GenealogyFound plans to demonstrate the importance of family history, genetics, family health history, historical events and geography by developing educational materials and ebooks. We will be publishing course and lesson materials for grades K-12. The educational materials will be designed to excite the youth and others regarding family history and health, science and geography.
